- שְׁתִיָּה, שְׁתִיָּיהI f. (b. h.; שָׁתָה I) drinking, satiety, gratification. Yoma VIII, 1 יום … באכילה ובש׳וכ׳ on the Day of Atonement it is forbidden to eat, or to drink Y.Ab. Zar. II, 41b bot. Succ.49b; Num. R. s. 2117> לשין ש׳וכ׳ (the word שֵׁכָר) expresses gratification, satiety , v. שְׁבִיעָה, a. רְוִיָּיה; (Y.Succ.iv, 54d top חיבה, v. חִבָּה).
